2024 Clinical Mass Spectrometry Research Grant

The North American Chinese Clinical Chemists Association (NACCCA)Â is excited to seek proposals for the 2024 NACCCA Clinical Mass Spectrometry Research Grant, generously endowed by Waters.
Proposals should address inquiries in the field of clinical applications of mass spectrometry. The grant amount is $2,500, exclusive of overhead costs at the recipient’s institution. It is expected that the study will be concluded within a 12-month timeframe. Awardees will be required to present their research outcomes at an upcoming event or webinar hosted by NACCCA. The awardees of this grant in the past 3 years are not eligible for application. To be considered, grant recipients must either be current members of NACCCA or register for the NACCCA membership.Â
Proposal Guidelines:
The research proposal should include the following sections (Word Limit: 2,000):
Title
Abstract (Word Limit: 150 words)
Background
Specific Aims
Project Description: Including preliminary results, if applicable.
Projected Timeline
Budget
References (not counted toward the 2,000 word limit)
Evaluation Criteria:
Scientific merit including quality innovation and good experimental design;
Translational potential of the research findings to clinical practice;
Degree to which the research proposal is critical to the career of the applicant;
Preference will be given to investigators in their early career stage.

Applications must be received no later than June 10, 2024Â for consideration.
